The National Association of Home Builders has developed a ANSI- approved rating system for residential green building. The rating system focuses on Energy efficiency, Water efficiency, resource efficiency, lot and site development and indoor environmental quality. This program gives the builder the opportunity to produce a marketable, certified green development, that is backed by a third party Green Verifier and the NAHB Research Center.
